At Yashica Creations we celebrate the efforts of the local craftspeople across India, who are committed to the craft techniques and provide handcrafted (hand-woven, block print, dyeing) textiles. We work with local craftspeople, bringing together their unique craftsmanship on this platform.
The platform houses ethnic or indigenous-inspired fashion which resembles the rich tradition and culture of India. The focus is to bring these traditional crafts like Ajrakh, Embroideries, Bandhani, Phulkari and many more with new modern style using fine quality textiles.
Yashica Creations was started in 2013 by Bhoomi Bheda in Bengaluru (a.k.a. Bangalore), who is originally from Jetpur (Gujarat) – a textile town, which is known for screen-printing, block-printing, and yarn dyeing workshops in the country. Being raised in a town with huge textile enthusiasts, she knows how a simple fabric can be turned into a piece of craft. Yashica Creations is one of her effort to support artisans to help them extend their reach across India and worldwide.
